Hi all: So this is for CC3C #7 Painted Industrial. Last week I was wondering around the local thrift shop, and I spotted these lamp parts and thought I'd try to alter them.
I grabbed a couple of other pieces to alter later and home i went. I ran the idea past my husband and got one of those looks, you know the whatever looks. went upstairs and got to work. first up get out the vagabond and off I went. I used foil tape from my hubby's supplies.I also used Black distress paint, glossy accents, and a couple of idea- ology gears. You can get these at Inspiration Emporium
. So here are a couple of different pictures hope you like it.
I still want to do something with the base. Any ideas would be welcome!!! I also realize I have to do something with the cord.

This is soooooo, so pretty! I love the peacock feather; it really pops against the metallic background. Nice work!
Clever! This technique is really endless, your lamp is just great!
What a great use of this technique,really clever.really like it. As for the base I would perhaps just paint it a matt silver so as as to match the shade but not detract from it?

Chary....Your altered lamp is darling! What a great way to use Tim's painted industrial technique to create something so fun for your home! I love your lamp shade done with Tim's Riveted Texture Fade. The addition of the black hanging beads and trim along with the very cool teal (my favorite color) flower and peacock feather really gives this lamp some "attitude".
