Mosaic Luminary

Hey Everyone:
Have you ever had an art tool that you had to have but, you don't use it?  I had to have the luminary 3-D the second the die was released.  I got it home unpackaged it, put it on the shelf with my other Alterations dies.  There it has sat for a couple of years now.  My neighbors have this really cute lantern on their outside table and when this months Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2016 included  Mosaic I knew just what I wanted to do.  Yep I finally pulled out my Luminary die dusted it off and used it.  I messed a few up of course.  Once i figured the top was a u-fold things went pretty smoothly.  If I do another mosaic with this die I'm going to do one panel at a time with the grout.  My card stock got a little soggy.
I made a couple of  different roofs.   Hope you like it.

Chary, this turned out wonderfully! I hate to say it but, I do have some things that have been sitting around on the shelf too :) But, so glad you pulled out this die to make your Tim inspired project. Great job with the mosaic kit! Thanks for leaving some love on my blog!

Beautiful Chary! I love how you used a 3D die as your base for the mosaics.

Chary, what a great idea and you did an awesome job! I have the same die (I've even used it) but it never occurred to me to try it out for the mosaic tag. The best part is, you have a nice little lantern to display and enjoy - bet it's so pretty when illuminated...

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving sweet comments - I appreciate it, especially after the work-out of getting that tag done :-)
